Pulse Pantry Pop-Ups launch across UOW regional and metropolitan campuses

Pulse is proud to have successfully launched Pulse Pantry Pop-Ups across UOW regional and metropolitan campuses, expanding access to one of our most valued student support services.

Pulse Pantry is a free grocery service for University of Wollongong students that has become a highly regarded offering at the Wollongong campus. In line with Pulse’s recently launched Strategic Plan, the Student Engagement team—supported by funding from the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) and working closely with staff and student representatives from each campus —developed a mobile pop-up model to bring this essential service to students across UOW’s onshore campus network. Following a successful pilot, the service will now continue on a monthly basis.

Since launching in May, the initiative has delivered:
🎪 20 pop-up activations
🗺️ 7 campus locations
🍎 500+ student engagements

Pulse Pantry Pop-Ups have been activated at campuses in Bega, Eurobodalla, Liverpool, Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands, Sutherland, and Sydney CBD, ensuring more students can access practical support closer to where they study.

The response from students has been overwhelmingly positive, with many sharing that the pop-ups foster a stronger sense of community, connection, and support on their campuses. Students have also expressed enthusiasm for seeing more Pulse initiatives delivered locally in the future.

This initiative is a strong example of Pulse’s commitment to its vision – to create vibrant, connected and inclusive campuses that enrich student life and strengthen UOW’s role as a hub for student and community engagement.
