Community Volunteer Project team partners with Greenacres Disability Services
This year, the Community Volunteer Project team is proud to be collaborating with Greenacres Disability Services to help create an outdoor space that is practical, welcoming and meaningful for staff, volunteers and clients to use.
Over the past few weeks, the project team has been working closely with the Greenacres team to better understand their needs, aspirations and the opportunities within the site. By taking the time to listen, the team is ensuring that any ideas developed are grounded in the realities of the community and designed to create genuine value.
The project team is working across several key areas, including design, finance and community engagement, to develop a realistic and achievable proposal. The focus is not just on creating a beautiful space, but on delivering a solution that responds to Greenacres’ needs and can be supported with the resources available now and in the future.
The team will also be engaging the wider university and local community during the project through fundraising initiatives and other activities to raise money to support the plans and goals.
We look forward to following their progress along the way.
